I love how the snow simplifies the landscape, it helps in my process. Photos of landscapes are where I draw ideas from my shapes and some of the colours in my work.

Colour studies

I found these to be incredibly helpful throughout all of my paintings as it is an easy way to record the precise colours and colour combinations that I like.

These were mainly drawn from my smaller sketches, but unlike the smaller ones these were mostly done with the same acrylic colours that would be used on the upscaled versions i.e. The canvas and board paintings. This was my main method of creating works throughout the last semester.
